Report of the Secretary-General of the United Nations – Moratorium on the use of the death penalty


“The Anti-Death Penalty Asia Network reported that in many countries in Asia, specifically in cases where the death penalty is concerned, the right to a fair trial is impeded by laws which deny due process. Even in countries where due process safeguards exist in principle, including in specific laws, they often do not apply in practice.[i]
