ADPAN is conducting a series of training on the death penalty in Malaysia. The first in our series would be on:

‘The Death Penalty in Malaysia’ by Ngeow Chow Ying.
The training will be held online via Zoom on 12 June, 3PM – 5PM (+8GMT). Links to the training will be provided upon RSVP.
For advocates and solicitors participating from Malaysia, 2 CPD point will be accredited for attending the training.

Speaker Profile
Annette So
Annette had spent the last decade working at at The Death Penalty Project, a London-based NGO that provides free legal representation to prisoners facing the death penalty worldwide, with a focus on the Commonwealth. She is dual-qualified (England & Wales; Hong Kong SAR) and is currently Deputy Director at Criminal Justice Alliance, a network of 160 organisations working towards a fair and effective criminal justice system in the UK.
Ngeow Chow Ying
Chow Ying is an advocate for the abolition of the death penalty and has been an active advocate for more than a decade. She was a member of the executive committee in the Anti-Death Penalty Asia Network, co-author of the report titled “Drug Offices and the Death Penalty in Malaysia: Fair Trial and Ramification”, and a practising lawyer in Malaysia.
